OUR FAITH

The Bible

We believe that the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired of God. The Bible is infallible, eternal, and immutable. We believe that true Christian living is only possible through obedience to the word of God (2 Tim 3:15-17; 2 Pet 1:21).

The Trinity

We believe in One Living and True God, Creator of all, eternal in three persons as Father, Son and Holy Spirit; him alone we worship and adore.

God the Father – We believe that God the Father Almighty, in holy love, gave his Son for the salvation of mankind.

God the Son  We believe in Lord Jesus Christ

      • We believe the virgin birth of Jesus (Matt. 1:23; Luke 1:31)
      • His life without sin (Heb. 7:26; 1 Pet. 2:22)
      •  We believe that he reveals the Father, that he died to atone for our sins, rose from the dead, ascended to heaven and was exalted.
      • His work as the High Priest, who is interceding for us as the mediator of the New Covenant (Heb. 9:15; 4:15)
      • We believe that he will return personally in power and glory.

God the Holy Spirit – We believe that God the Holy Spirit convinces of sin, righteousness and judgement.  He causes those who repent to be born anew and dwells within them, witnessing to their salvation and developing the fruit of a Godly life.  He was active in creation, inspired the Bible writers, and works in regeneration and sanctification. The Holy Spirit is involved in every aspect of the growth of a new believer. He is the source of all gifts to the church, empowering believers to do the work of God effectively on earth. The evidence of a Spirit-filled life is the fruit of the Spirit listed in Galatians 5:22. He glorifies Jesus.

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead, the Trinity.

Salvation

It’s a free gift of God and is only made possible by the blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Salvation is received through repentance unto God and faith in the finished work of Jesus on the cross. The inward evidence of salvation is the witness of the Spirit. The outward evidence to all men is the fruit of salvation, which is manifested in righteousness and true holiness.

(Eph. 2:8; Tit. 2:11-12; Acts 4:12; Rom. 10:13; 8:16).

The Church

We believe that the Church is the whole company of the redeemed in heaven and on earth and consists of all who are united to God through faith in Christ.  We believe that Jesus Christ is the head of the Church, which is his body.  The purpose of the Church is to worship God, to promote the fellowship of his people, to preach the Gospel and to make disciples of all nations.

The two-fold purpose of the church is evangelizing to the lost and nurturing believers to build a body of saints being perfected in the image of His Son.

The Ordinance of the Church

We believe that the sacraments of baptism and the Lord’s supper are to be practiced in obedience to the command of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Water baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion) are two ordinances of the New Testament Church.
